Weeeeeeeeew the beauty of a well aged Bordeaux, with perfect provenance and storage coming ex-chateau just earlier this year.

In the glass: mid bodied, ruby with clear garnet at its core and to the rim.

On the nose: let me tell you, this had a gigantic waft of barnyard, mushroom and damp forest that was incredibly dense resistant and took a while to air out / calm down. But when it did, yum. This still had a considerable purity of fruits with blackcurrant. Deep leather. With patience in the glass, the fruits intensified and just became this dark sultry little thing, with this mild funk just hanging at the background. The nose does transition towards becoming increasingly red fruited over time.

On the palate: this is perfectly resolved tannins. Just finnnne and soft, coming across almost silky in its finish. Mid+ acidity. Mid++ length finish. Oh did I mention, a surprising touch of residual sugar.

This was a banger. Wish I had given this more air ahead of serving though.
