With Hart at Crystal Wine’s US winemaker tasting.

What a stunner! This was 1 of the 2 outlier performers for me. Damn delicious.

In the glass: a dull yellow with greenish tinge. Cloudy – confirmed to be unfiltered.

On the nose: what a gem. This lean oak, high salinity and minerality, citrus, this rustic earthiness to it. I don’t have the vocab for this, but there’s just this complex tension to it.

On the palate: oh so silky, and just palate coating. It’s rich, has a good intensity of yellow fruits, yet still so fresh and juicy. A surprising amount of structure.
Fleeting tinge of sweet malo on the exhale.

Man, this was sooo damn well done. I’ve never known this winemaker but I’m super impressed.
