HM, this was not a great Pontet Canet.

On the nose: a mid intensity nose, with blackcurrants and an intense waft of graphite and strong earthy tobacco/cigar.

On the palate: surprisingly mid/mid- bodied. Decent concentration of dark berries. Still has a fair bit of structured tannins.

Feels like a wine that smells nice, but in this really weird taut stage, but don’t think it has enough fruits to age all that much longer.
