Meagan’s birthday at The Studio by JUICE.
I liked this quite a bit better than the Chaos – it was quite a bit more interesting.
Fresh from the body, a strong funk, and muuuuch richer nose of red fruits. As the wine aerated and warmed up, the funk dissipated, and it developed into a sweeet red cherry on the nose, and a distinct minerality to it. On the palette: again very high acidity that’s fairly balanced, and the same distinct minerality and red currant on exhale.
This is a simple Beajolais that isn’t particularly perfumey or complex, but that touch of minerality made it at least slightly more interesting than the first. Decided to downgrade the chaos to 3.9 after this.
