Bumped up from 4.4. With Hart, Ben, SM, Sean and Tabs. Wine was courtesy of Ben and SM, who brought absolute bangers this dinner.

In this glass this was a pale hay. On the nose, initial funk with high intense minerality. On the exhale, this was a sweet HIGHLY aromatic sweet apricot and green apple
On the palate, high acidity and long finish with great minerality.
Over the course of the dinner, a mild caramel emerged. I need to find out if this was oaked. It has to be? Idk.

Overall, I thought this was a sublime and absolutely beautiful Chablis. I love Chablis and this topped my expectation. It was extremely aromatic with that distinct beautiful minerality.

Ben mentioned it might be a touch off its peak, and in retrospect he was right. On the palette and exhale, this was absolutely aromatic and just superb. But I have to concede that it was a touch flat on the inhale. Perhaps just a tiny tiny bit past its peak. Nonetheless, one of the best Chablis I’ve ever had. Truly complex
