With the Ohana NYE countdown party.

I was trying to pick a bottle of Domaine Huet’s Clos du Bourg, but they had just sold the last one and we settled on this. I’m glad we did.

In the glass: light gold.

On the nose: smells of mild stones, lemon peel. As the wine warmed up in the glass, there seemed to be a tiny bit of vanilla, and a sweet honey note. Do Loire chenin Blancs use oak?? Weird.

On the palate: high acidity and surprisingly long finish. Dryish with just a touch of residual sugar. Seemed to have a bit of a body to it. Slight bitterness at the end of the finish.
At exhale, muuuch more aromatic than tryna nose it.

Surprising new find – really enjoyed the bright crispness paired with the pate and scallops!
