At the Ohana NYE countdown party.

THIS WAS SO DAMN DELICIOUS. 100% Nebbiolo, with 50:50 grapes from Grumello and Sassella vines that are between 50-100 years old. 109 days of extended maceration in 50 -hectoliter untoasted oak casks
Rested 24 months in bottle before release. Brandon first introduced the winemaker to me maybe a year ago, and I’d loved it since then.

In the glass: light garnet with a tawny rim. Very light bodied
On the nose: just the most delicate but very aromatic notes of rose, strawberry, and licorice at the end. Truly a super beautiful bouquet.
On the palate: high acidity, mildly grippy tannins that was very palatable, esp for such a young Nebbiolo. Mid-/light bodied.

As the wine breathed in the glass, that nose intensified, but remained super elegant. Paired extremely well with the filet mignon, and lobster with a creamy gravy.
This was super delicious and just very pretty. Could drink a whole case of this fella.
