Emidio Pepe’s historic first ever single cuvée wines, ‘Casa Pepe’ and ‘Branella’ Montepulciano d’Abruzzo 2020.

At first glance, these look just like any random Emidio Pepe Montepulciano d’Abruzzo. However, these are truly special and historic wines. For the first time ever, the wine-makers had attempted to make single cuvée wines, each with grapes from dramatically different terroir. The only way to differentiate them, is to zoom into the tiny badge at the corner of the label.

Who knows if this will become a legendary wine in the future. Into the long term cellar they go 🙂

Meanwhile, here’s a look at the winemaker’s notes.
