Charming! I’ve been reading into German Pinot noirs. Apparently there’s been a ton of attempts to transplant Burgundian Pinot Noir clones into the region, and global warming has now made it possible to cultivate Pinot Noir + get sufficient ripeness in recent years. This is my first ever taste 🙂

In the glass: light bright pink ruby with a slight orange tinge. Very light bodied.

On the nose: at the inhale, it is dominated by a certain irony-minerality, and a sorta wet clay. Very interesting. Fruits were very very shy on the inhale. The fruits are much more pleasurable on the exhale, with bright delicate cherries. Low alcohol

On the palate: YUM. I loooOove that 12% ABV. Acidity is high, and over it’s light, fresh and bright.

THAT SAID. The wine does lack concentration, and doesn’t have a big perfume.

Delicious first wine of the night. I wanna try out more German Pinots now!
