With Hart, Brandon, Jeff at QH’s

Cork was in good condition, although was about 2/3 way saturated by the time we opened this little fella.

In the glass: this is a rich intense orange gold; almost looking like many sweet wines. Clear.

On the nose: fresh off the bottle cold, this was a shy mineral. Seemingly sweet. Some sorta flowers, but seemingly no fruit at all.

On the palate: contrary to the nose, the wine is bone dry in the palate. It’s also intense, and strong on the palate. Midish acidity. Alcohol felt oddly strong on the exhale.

As the wine warmed up and had the chance to breathe in the glass, the nose became muuuuch more interesting. Alongside the intensifying minerality, there was also some sorta notes of green pear and green apples. For some reason, I kept getting hints of almost pineapple tarts – specifically spiced pineapples. Maybe cloves specifically?

This is one of the few whites that I found more enjoyable warmer than cold. Decided to rate it below a 4.0, simply because I don’t think I quite enjoy this profile enough to wanna repurchase. I recall that Trebbiano is part of the blend, but I would have to assume that it’s a fairly tiny % based on my tasting? Dunno.
