A surprisingly good value Brunello that’s just delicious.
Slow-oxed close to 2 hours.

In the glass: the image is a little misleading. It was a deeper garnet core with a bright orange rim. Lightish body with high translucence. Clear.
On the nose: a deep rich dark cherries, slight barnyard funk, VA, sweetness. Oak was super mild initially, but became increasingly prominent (but well balanced) as it breathed in the glass. With air, the nose kept intensifying in aroma, and also developed a tiny bit of raisin notes.
On the palate: dry, well integrated alcohol, and just a very nice purity of fruits. This wine really benefited from having air – initially this had slightly harsh mid++ grippy tannins. The body also came across a touch light. But with air, that initially harsh tannins really softened up noticeably, and more importantly, the flavors on the palate really intensified and even felt like it had more body.
This isn’t the new age rich dense Brunello. This is lighter, very elegant, with a great purity of fruits. Surprised at how affordable this is given the sheer quality. Impressed.
