With the crew for 2025 Christmas celebration.
OH, what a nose!
Cork was terrible though, and broke for no real good reason.

In the glass: a bright rich ruby. Mid- body.

On the nose: oh man this was so nice. Left to slox ox for about 1-1.5 hours. Just dark berries and cherries. A touch of smoke, a touch of sweet oak and spices. Vanilla beans at the back. With air, that oak became more prominent, which surprised me given that this was a very basic wine.
On the palate: bone dry. Mid- body with a surprisingly high intensity of flavors. Mid++ acidity.
A nice minerality and spices on the exhale with the black berries.
What a beautiful nose! We got this on sale for maybe around $110? Perhaps the only area it was lacking, was that no withstanding the high intensity of flavors, the body was a touch thin.
