With Hart and family at the fantastic Ibid.
I don’t understand why this was so well rated. Also, California whites don’t seem to work well for my palate.
In the glass: a very pale gold. Clear.
On the nose: general aromatic if not a little shy. Citrus, saline, touch of honey. Touch of stone fruit, peaches.
On the palate: pleasant touch of residual sugar. I don’t know what it is with Californian or Oregon wines, esp their Pinots and this Chenin Blanc. Decent to very good nose, with just lackluster palate. Short finish that ends abruptly. Lingering bitter aftertaste. Meh.
