With Hart, Brandon, WW, Jeff et al at Brandon’s

Another tasting of this rare label, except it’s the 2023 instead of the 2022 previously. Only 6449 bottles produced (more than twice of the 2564 in 2022, but still absolutely tiny). 21 months maturing in a range of Stockinger casks (228, 500, 600 and 1,000 litres) and some Wineglobe (glass fermenters), with only around 5% new oak.

This is pure wild perfume and spices!

In the glass: ruby, mid- body.

On the nose: criiissspy fresh sweet red cherries, this blend of idk what sorta spices and a ton of lifted stemmy spices.

On the palate: bright crispy acidity, juicy. Tons of cherries but also this flash of red plums. Texturally, it isn’t rich or silky. Sorta in between a structured crunchiness, but fine grained structured.

As with the 2022, I can’t help but wonder if some age would do this wine some good
