With Hart, Brandon, QH, Jeff and Charmaine at NDP watch party (I did not think I would ever partake in such an event but here we are).
Bottle from Brandon.

I have such a weird relationship with sweet or off-dry whites. I would almost never ever buy one myself, but once in a while when I do drink it, I always find myself enjoying it immensely.

In the glass: a surprisingly richly colored gold. Clear. Most Gewurztraminer I’ve seen are pretty pale.

On the nose: a waft of sweet mild lychee on the inhale, and this surprisingly mineral-driven and almost hay/straw-like note on the exhale. Pretty.

On the palate: off-dry, with a good splash of residual sugar that never got close to cloying, despite a mid-/low acidity. A good intensity of yellow fruits on the palate, with a touch of silkiness that I can’t tell if I imagined or not. Delicious with dinner tonight.

This was very tasty.
