With Hart at Crystal Wine’s US winemaker tasting.
It’s. MEH.
Something is off with many Oregon Pinots. And this bottle is a perfect example.

The nose is intense aromatic – pure sweet strawberries / strawberry yogurt. Very pretty. Very chuggable.
But man, that flat dull palate. Hart rightly corrected me that it does have elevated acidity (I was very proud of her and pleased with the correction). The problem was this acidity just had this flat and dull character to it. It’s not fresh, nor juicy. Also touch bitterness on the finish
I don’t know why so many Oregonian Pinots end up like this – they have the climate for way better quality acidity!
