With Hart, Shaun, Maeg, James, Zi, Sloke and YZ
Bottle from Shaun and Maeg

THIS WAS SO GOOD. Very very young, but beaaaautiful Brunello. Damn.

In the glass: deep ruby core, with just the smallest garnet rim.

On the nose: this is just a super pretty Brunello. Sweet red cherries, roses, dried strawberry. Super careful use of oak, with the spices and wood just floating in the background. I will say: there is an immense and persistent almost bretty funk fresh off the bottle, but it does eventually blow off cleanly with time in the glass. This was a very pretty nose

On the palate: distinct tannin structure that’s both present, but completely inoffensive. Dry. Mid+ finish. Mid-ish acidity.

This doesn’t really seem to have the structure (tannin and acidity) to age forever, but I reckon it would drink super well in a few more years. This was very beautiful. Damn.
